More information About Us:
athleticBaby's mission is to create
products that will spark a child's desire to be physically active, and engage
babies and toddlers alike in the world of athletics, and play.
athleticBaby was founded by a mom in search of a video
alternative that introduced a healthy, active lifestyle for her infant. Most
videos on the market were focused strictly on intellect, music, and language, or general motor skills and movement
and there seemed to be a gap when it came to videos that promoted
sharing a sport with the child, or motivating a child to be physically activite and
at an early age.
In a country where the obesity epidemic has affected thousands,
and increased diseases like Type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, the
importance of being physically active at an early age cannot be underestimated.
Our goal at athleticBaby is to inspire the parents of young children and
underscore that it is never too early to start developing healthy habits.
Studies have shown that being physically active at an early age can increase
self-esteem, build confidence, and helps build a foundation for success in all
areas of a child’s life – not just fitness.
athleticBaby is an advocate for good eating and exercise
habits for young children, and believes that it's never too early to get them
started. We also recognize that children of all ages learn how to interact with
other children, how to be fair, and how to be a part of the team, through
verbal, physical, and visual play activity.
At athleticBaby, we know that your child's best coach is you!
We encourage parents to be creative, and interact through safe physical activity
with babies on a daily basis, at home, and outdoors. Experts agree that children
should participate in at least thirty minutes of physical activity each day. We
discourage the frequent use of confining tools such as playpens, and we
encourage the development of a child's inner curiosity through exploration and
activity. Visual images of balls, babies, and toys, are valuable to a baby's
physical and emotional development in the early years, and involvement in sports later in life
can help build self-esteem. athleticBaby videos provide an introduction to an
area of development which can last a lifetime.
